Respect for Nature

Granda Rose Retreat sits within a quiet forest environment beside the Branch River.

Guests are asked to:

• Respect wildlife and natural habitats

• Avoid disturbing plants or animals

• Leave no trace when enjoying the property

Campfires are permitted only in the designated fire pit and must be fully extinguished after use.

Weather & Power Interruptions

The Cape Shore’s coastal climate can occasionally bring strong winds, storms, or temporary power outages.

The retreat remains open unless local authorities advise evacuation or road closures.

In the event of:

Government travel bans or mandatory evacuations — reservations may be rescheduled or refunded

Weather-related travel disruptions — the standard cancellation policy applies. However, in the case of significant travel interruptions (such as road closures or major storms), we will work with guests to reschedule their stay where possible.

Emergency lighting and backup supplies are available onsite.

Remote Location & Travel Responsibility Policy

Granda Rose Retreat is located in the rural community of Branch on Newfoundland's Cape Shore. The retreat is intentionally positioned in a quiet natural setting, about 1 hour 45 minutes from St. John's depending on route, weather, and stops.

Guests should plan accordingly and bring any personal items, groceries, or supplies needed for their stay. Local services and nearby communities may have limited options, especially during evenings or off-season periods. Cell service on the Cape Shore can be limited. Wi-Fi will be available at each dome, and network details will be sent before arrival. Please download directions, reservation details, and anything else you may need before leaving reliable service.

Amenity Downtime Policy

We take great care to maintain all amenities. However, mechanical equipment occasionally requires maintenance or repair.

If an amenity becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, we will make every reasonable effort to restore it as quickly as possible.

Temporary interruption of amenities due to unforeseen circumstances does not qualify for a refund, though we may offer a partial credit at our discretion.

Wildlife & Natural Environment Policy

Granda Rose Retreat is located in a natural forest setting beside the Branch River. While we maintain the property carefully, guests may encounter elements of the surrounding environment such as insects, wildlife, mud, or changing weather conditions.

These natural elements are part of the experience of staying in a rural landscape and should be expected when visiting the Cape Shore.

We encourage guests to bring appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor conditions.

Safety & Liability

The retreat is located in a natural environment that includes uneven terrain, water access, wildlife, and wood-burning appliances.

By booking a stay, guests acknowledge these natural conditions and agree to use all amenities responsibly.

Granda Rose Retreat is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or lost belongings except where required by law.
