Can I buy gift cards now?

Yes. Gift cards are available and can be used for future stays once bookings open.

How many domes will you have?

We’re opening with two eco-luxury domes — one designed for two guests, and one for up to four.

What amenities will be included?

Each dome will offer a private hot tub overlooking the Branch River, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and thoughtfully selected comforts for a slow and immersive stay.

Are the domes suitable year-round?

Yes. They’re fully insulated and designed for all four Newfoundland seasons. Each dome will be equipped with a heating/cooling mini-split to keep the space comfortable in any weather. You’ll also find a wood stove inside for added warmth and atmosphere during cooler months.

Where is Granda Rose Retreat located?

We’re set along the Branch River on Newfoundland’s Cape Shore — about 1.5 hours from St. John’s, 1 hour from the Argentia Ferry Terminal, 25 minutes from Cape St. Mary’s Ecological Reserve, and 30 minutes from Gooseberry Cove Provincial Park. It’s a quiet, scenic stretch of coastline known for its history, wildlife, and wide-open landscapes

What can I do in the area?

The better question is what can’t you do here.

From beach walks and birdwatching to coastal drives, photography, and slow evenings by the fire, the Cape Shore is full of ways to explore. As we get closer to opening, we’ll be sharing more ways to help you discover the area, whether that’s through local insights, video guides, or thoughtful recommendations shaped by how we experience this place ourselves

Is the retreat family-friendly?

Yes. One of our domes will accommodate up to four guests and is suitable for small families.

Is the retreat accessible by car year-round?

Yes. We’re located just off the main road in Branch, with parking on-site.

Is the retreat wheelchair accessible?

Not in our first phase. The terrain around the river and clearing is beautiful but rugged, which makes full accessibility challenging at this stage. Creating a fully accessible unit is a priority in our long-term plan, and we’re committed to improving access as we grow

What is your cancellation policy?

Our full policy will be posted when bookings open.

Are pets allowed?

Not at launch, but this may evolve based on guest feedback.

Is smoking permitted?

Smoking isn’t permitted inside the domes. We ask guests to be mindful outdoors as well — especially with cigarette butts, given our natural surroundings. A substantial cleaning fee will apply if smoking occurs inside the accommodation.

What should guests bring?

Branch is a quiet, rural community with limited grocery options nearby, so we recommend arriving with the food and essentials you’ll need during your stay. We’re exploring future food add-ons, but for now, coming prepared will ensure a smooth and relaxing visit.

Also, think comfortable layers, outdoor footwear, and your favourite essentials for a quiet night by the river.

Will there be Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi will be available.

Can we cook on-site?

Yes. Each dome includes a small kitchenette and outdoor cooking options

Why “Granda Rose”?

Granda Rose is a name carried forward — a nod to family, tradition, and the stories that shaped the Cape Shore.

Deep in Cape Shore country stands the tallest hill in the region, known locally as The Granda Rose. It was a view that meant everything to someone special. For him, it was a place of presence and peace, a quiet break from the struggles of everyday life.

Our name honours that feeling. It represents this place, the Cape Shore, and reflects where we come from and the values we’re building into this retreat: heritage, nature, stillness, and a deep respect for the land that raised us

Branch isn’t just home — it’s a place that stays with you. The river, the coastline, the community, and the way people welcome you in all create a feeling that’s hard to find anywhere else

Building the retreat here felt natural. It’s where our own story began, and it’s where we hope guests can experience the same sense of connection and belonging that makes Branch so special.
